Our Mission
The Priscilla James Foundation is dedicated to supplying the basic educational needs of disadvantaged students so they can achieve academic success and realize their full potential. Through educational assistance, community outreach, and family support, we strive to empower children and inspire meaningful, lasting change in their lives.

We envision a future where every child in St. Vincent and the Grenadines has equitable access to the educational resources necessary to succeed. By helping students start their academic journey with confidence and dignity, we hope to foster stronger communities and create opportunities that extend well beyond the classroom.

Annual
Back-to-School
Program
Our signature initiative is the Annual Back-to-School Distribution, which provides students with backpacks filled with essential school supplies before the start of each academic year. Since our outreach efforts began in 2011, approximately 4,000 backpacks and school supply packages have been distributed to children across multiple villages, helping thousands of students begin the school year prepared and confident.
Educational Support
Beyond school supplies, the Foundation works to ensure students have access to the resources needed for continued academic success. Our programs include assistance with:

Why Our Work Matters
For many families in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, the beginning of the school year can bring significant financial challenges. The cost of backpacks, notebooks, textbooks, writing materials, uniforms, and transportation can place a heavy burden on household budgets.
Without these basic necessities, students may face obstacles that affect their educational experience, including reduced classroom participation, inconsistent attendance, and lower academic performance.
The Priscilla James Foundation helps bridge this gap by providing essential educational resources that allow students to attend school equipped, prepared, and ready to succeed.
